Craters of the Moon

This is an area of geothermal activity, where steam escapes from the ground. Much of it has been harnessed for geothermal power stations, but this is one of the places where you can see the steam coming out of the ground. There are also bubbling mud pools.

We’ve been in New Zealand for a week now and there’s lots to tell… I’m not sure where to start… First impressions of NZ are good.
