Waÿnwayna Day 3 The trek had been smooth, albeit rainy. We celebrated as a family that night, Jaime and Emily reading speeches they wrote. Emily’s was in basic Spanish. Emily and I had never met. People think we’re crazy to do this. She’s 29 and on a 5-month leave of absence as a flight attendant for Continental Airlines. Our experience was unforgettable and, over a year later, I continue to write about it.
