The pourer then passes the mate clockwise, where the first recipient drinks the tea, and when done, passes it back to the pourer (the drinker does not say "gracias" until they no longer want to drink- it pretty much means you´re finished). The pourer repeats the first steps and passes it onto the next drinker. It was so great to experience this with a local and to learn how to do it correctly, because we would have gotten it all wrong!
