Apartment blocks, Telavi

See this everywhere in the Eastern European countries. The Soviet Union was a big monster and it behaved like one. So a successful building design would be copied, cookie-cutter style right across the union. This is a typical result: apartment blocks even in places out in the country where there was space to build out, not up.

Outside the Parliament building in central Tbilisi they're flying the blue EU flag next to the Georgian national one.
