I should preface this by saying that I’m coming up on being up for 2 days with a 2hr (broken) nap on the plane. My flight was fine - got a nice plane (757) that had the personal TV in the seat. Kilmainham Gaol
The photos are very stirring for me as my Maternal GGgrandfather was a Convict who was Detained there From 1843 untill was transported to Van Deiman's Land. also My GGrandfather on my Fathers side was detaines there in 1848-1849 untill he was transported to PT Jackson Australia.( he Stole a cow so he could feed his family During the Famine.) so being able to see where they were Detained means a lot to me Thank you for letting me see the Photos.
