Anyone have a passport I could borrow?

Just how stupid can one feel?
Day 36: Hué, Vietnam

Tuesday, March 3rd We arrived in Hué at about 8am. A young man showed us to a reasonably priced hotel but when we tried to check in... guess what? We had left our passports in Hanoi! Argh!!!! Unlike the other countries we've been to, Vietnam requires that you leave your passport at reception when checking in at any guest house or hotel.
