A woman saw me petting her cat, ran over and picked him up and placed him on a table so I could pet him easier. The Japanese seemed to like the fact that I wanted to pet their cat and kept saying, "Hello, Thank You" to me in Japanese.
Yamadera Monastery May 13th 2006 Yesterday I took a trip to an area called Yamagata, about a 2 hour train ride away. Located in the small village is Yamadera, a mountain monastery west of Fukushima.
