We arrived on the Khao San road in the middle of Bangkok at about midnight after our flight, following a scarily fast taxi ride from Hiro Nakamura. This area is backpacker central, crowded and with lots of bars selling cheap drinks, and Indians flogging cheap tailored suits. Hello friends. I'm just going to give a tiny summary of our plans just incase you didn't already know. We plan to fly to Hong Kong from London on the 16th January. 2 nights in Hong Kong before flying to Bangkok where we will explore some of Central and Northern Thailand (notably Chiang Mai, River Kwai, Ayuthaya). On the 1st February we leave from Bangkok to travel Cambodia and Vietnam hitting sights such as Angkor Wat, Kompong Cham, Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Hue, Halong Bay and Hanoi.
