Atenas is beautiful, but the twisty roads had us dropping like flies. Even Pietro succumbed to a bout of car sickness. Piper and I spent the day vaguely nauseated. We saw some beautiful land and homes, and a very nice internet cafe. We did have a great meal at an Italian Restaurant that was worth the drive to Atenas all by itself. Are We There Yet?

I love to travel, although I do not get to wander about as much as I would like to. I fell in love with Costa Rica and would have happily lived there. It is the only place that made me cry to leave. Before the addition of two more Akitas to our household, we traveled across the U.S. with our two Akitas, Biscuit and Rowan. Now that Keiko and Rafu have joined the herd, I balk at moving 500 lbs. of dog around unless I need to. My family will tell you I am mostly sweet-natured with a large streak of dry humor.
