Franz Josef Glacier

By the time we got here Rags foot was hurting so we didn't do the long walk to the terminal face but a shorter one to a viewpoint called Sentinal Rock. The track climbs steadily through scrub forest and ferns and can provide a super view but for us it began to hail so we didn't stay long!

Wednesday 8th October It rained heavily from about 0400 and both of us had a fitful night. On our way and first stop was just up the road, Fox Glacier.
