We took the Thalys high speed train to Brussels on Tuesday morning. Trains are fast! But they're so smooth, you don't really get sense of it, until you have some other reference. We were next to an expressway for part of it, and were proabbly going more than twice as fast as the cars and trucks, so that's something.
