Never have I found a more appropriate use of the word "breathtaking" as when describing today's climb to the Huaytapallana glacier. Trekking from 4700 to 5050 metres when one is acclimatized to a paltry 3200 takes some willpower! The air was thin, the climb was steep, the experience was................. (see above!)
