We went to Wanaka a week before schedule in order to find a mechanic and plumber about our water tank problem. After a lot of hassle, turns out our tank isn't 45 litres big, and we're using about 20 litres a day without showers! (Because of the problem we were going to campsites and showering there). Let's face it, travel diaries are boooring! No-one cares that you spent 59 hours balanced on top of a train holding onto the goat you hired, or that you had to wake up at 2am in order to trek up the local hill with your 15-year-old tour guide Chang.
