Splendid China Shenzhen Mainland China

De Imperial City of Peking - Beijing - beter bekend onder de naam de Verboden Stad. In het Chinees heet dit paleis Gu Gong. Gedurende de Ming en Ging Dynasties is dit de verblijfplaats geweest van de keizer en zijn gevolg. Het is het grootste paleiscomplex ter wereld. Het totale complex heeft een oppervlakte van 74 hectaren. De afstand tussen de noordelijke en de zuiderlijke poort bedraagt bijna een kilometer.
