Baseball in small-town Canada 2008 Summer Baseball 004

Fans start to trickle in to the first game. Leggy young ladies already are selling 50/50 tickets to the fans. Early games gave out prizes a little over $100. The big evening game, after opening ceremonies gave out $650 from the $1300 garnered.

Baseball has always been a featured sport in our community. Over the last four years, the old baseball stadium has been totally renewed through the motivational efforts of a few individuals linked with a great deal of work by volunteers and committees.
