These mountains are a series of volcanic crags. They were named by Captain James Cook who noted the the reflections of the glass-smooth rocks in the sunlight

Bus at 8am, straight to so called 'Rainbow Beach' named beacuse it has over 70 different colours, but all i saw was one sand colour and a strange looking grey - not pretty at all!
