Wow, I can not believe that the last blog i wrote was in Kanchanaburi. A great deal has happened since then, namely after chiang mai which i only spent a day in i made it over to Pai and i am so glad i did. Chaing mai is so terribly touristy and i found no opportunity to talk to the locals. I can't say that i've had the same problem here. the place is stunning. I have wanted to travel for such a long time but never found the impetus to just get up and go until 1 profound week in March this year when the final chord of disatisfaction struck.
