La Paz city

You can see all the blue and green tents, local markets which seem to be open almost 24 hours a day 7 days a week. You can buy buy pretty much anything you need from these tents, but there is no logic or order, so you need to be prepared to spend all day looking for what you need. The dug up land is where they plan to build a big plaza to house all these markets (thank god it is not an American chain supermarket). You can also see the church and how steep the city rises up behind it. The cioty is built in a valley of a canyon, and opposite to the general trend back home, the richest suburbs are at the bottom and the poorest are at the top.

Cobblestone streets zig zag up either side of a steep canyon: full of mini buses, vans and taxis that collectively define anarchy better than any dictionary. There are absolutely NO rules.
