Judy and AirBear Arrive in Missoula

Here's the deal with the bear, in case anyone cares: Judy's Dad passed away at the end of March. His passion for aviation inspired her to learn to fly...and because she did, he joined her quest and they both got pilot's licenses in Canada in 1986. After he passed on, among his belongings the family found this small bear. Her three-year-old nephew Simon rather likes the bear, and so her brother Lorne asked her to bring AirBear with her on the trip so Simon could kind of share the adventure through photos...and to serve as just one more reminder of her father's spirit of adventure and protection watching over her flight.

We all got out of Walla Walla and have landed safely in Missoula. We've now passed over the highest of the mountains we will cover on this trip, though we have some more to go.
