The Carpenter’s Kids Programme was established two years ago to address a problem faced by many of the children of this Diocese. Since 2002 Tanzanian children have been entitled to a free primary education, from Reception (Kindergarten) up to Grade 7, known here as Standard 7. Prior to that time, fees had to be paid to attend and as a result only about 50% of children actually went to school. ... read more
