I was just watching the news from the Beijing olympic torch parade India. I can see that the Tibetan contingent in India is facing what looks like riot preparations. The pro-Tibet demo in London had some unexpected moments and the reporting was even more interesting. Media focused on 'attacks' on the torch and the Chinese police runners. After 6+ years of adding Slavic spice to the environmental education programmes at the WWT London Wetland Centre, there was a danger of succumbing to the well known life-distracter sometimes known as 'natural career progression in management'. Wanting to reawaken and start a new, different cycle I am flying (carbon footprint covered) southwest - via Argentina and Australasia, on route to Himalayan region.
