Speckled Mousebird

These mousebirds are funny little creatures . . . they descend on my pawpaw in a small flock and stuff themselves silly, then rest precariously in a bush side-by-side with their distended stomachs facing the sun, I assume to aid with digestion. These rascals trapped themselves by knocking the stick over. Even when the trap is open, they often freak out and can't figure out how to "escape."
A first week's impressions
