Unter den Linden Nachts

A very short walk of maybe 4 blocks brought us out on the road I was seeking. Even though we had no guidebooks or maps, I did have my GPS. Unfortunately, with its small screen it was kind of difficult to find where and how we might find KaDeWe. All I could determine was that it was nowhere near here. My Garmin said the store was a few miles away. Without a full sized map I couldn't even guess at what tram, bus or U-Bahn we had to take to get there. Before heading down Unter den Linden, we turned down a cul-de-sac that housed the U.S. Embassy. Actually, this used to be a through street but because of heightened security the street is now blocked-off with concrete barriers and guard shacks. Once the new U.S. embassy by the Brandenburg Gate is completed this street can probably return to normal.
Day Two - Friday in Berlin

I must've been really tired last night because I slept straight through until morning. Normally my internal clock forces me to wake up around 2:00 am when I first get to Europe.
