We headed down I-55 to I-12 to I-10 in Baton Rouge, LA. We crossed the Mississippi River at Baton Rouge. We've had rain off and on. We crossed the long bridge over the Atchafalaya Basin. The bridge was 8 or 9 miles long. The Atchafalaya basin, comprised of 595,000 acres, is America's largest river swamp. The terrain varied from moist forest to swamps, to lakes.
