Oberstdorf, Bavaria, Germany Melissa and I stayed at a Gästhaus about 3 towns up the mountainside, the “Berg Vagabund.” A very nice lady and her husband basically ran a hotel out of their oversized chalet, and they did not speak a word of English (their daughter, who was about 18 helped us out when the language barrier was impassable).
