We indulged with flying back to Bangkok from Siem Reap, rather than another massive travelling stint. Bus journeys take 10 hours or more over night, but flying was about 1 hour. Money well spent. I qualified as a teacher in 1997 and have been teaching ever since. Thoroughly enjoying my job, I took the first brave steps to having a career break. Selling my flat and minimalising my belongings and gradually throwing useful travelling things into my backpack ready for the first leg of the journey on Monday 23rd July.
