Duck Boat at Cairns

Duckboats left over from WW2 are the feature of this Rainforeststation Nature Park near Cairns. The area reminded me of Biedler Forest near Linda and Laren in downstate SC, but with huge ferns and strange trees instead of cypress.

Sorry we haven't been in touch with Travelblog lately, but we've been roughing it in the Outback and just got back to civilization (meaning our beautiful ship!) yesterday.
