This amazing Astronomical Clock was built in 1754 and displays not only the time, but also the date (taking leap years into account and functioning until the year 9999), as well as the phases of the moon and the sphere demonstrates the movement of the planets. In this room, a copper line runs across the floor to signify the Greenwich Meridian Line... although here is was called the Versailles Meridian Line.
