Lijiang - chapter 2 October 17th 2007 Monday (08/Oct/07) opened up as a pretty cloudy day but we figured we'd stick to our plans & head to Jade Dragon Snow mountain area on the local bus to check out the Cloud Fir Meadow chairlift to an elevation of 4500m. I'm now a retired Melbourne-based Australian secondary school teacher. Back in 2007 I took some LSL & travelled a bit of Asia; I taught in outback WA in 2008, was part of some social justice trips to Southern India in 2009, 2010 & 2013. I've also managed some other smaller, but no less exciting, travel along the way.
It seems I got really lazy, as I neglected this travel blog between 2013 & 2018 despite having most worthy material to write about. During this time I was lucky enough to squeeze in more travel to parts of Sri Lanka, USA, New Zealand, Turkey, Vietnam, Hobart & Perth.
