We arrived in Auckland at 6pm on Wednesday 1 August after our flight from Sydney. Philly (my friend Nick's girlfriend) picked us up and took us to her apartment where Nick greeted us with a beer and a dinner of soup followed by steak, sausage, chicken and salad.
