Viachristi (Junin de los Andes)

Viachristi (Junin de los Andes)

"The Jubilee". In biblical times the debts of the poor were forgiven every 50 years or so. This would prevent the debt of one to be passed onto the next generation. The concept of this scene is Jubilee 2000, to forgive the foreign debt of poor countries (colonized) such as many in Latin America with foreign debts. Scenes in this picture -The Mapuche Cross -Upper left (war) -Lower Left (talking heads, liar politicians -Lower Right (stock markets that ignore the poor) -Upper Right (Dirty money buying weapons) Inside the cross -Right (Children sleeping in the streets) -Upper (Unemployment Lines in Latin America -Left (Sick children with no medical care) -Bottom (Children seling newspapers instead of studying in school) Do you support Jubilee? I do. The US has already spent $400 billion in Iraq, enought to cancel the external debt of all of Latin America. What a waste of humanity the war in Iraq is!
