Andean lake

A tiny little lake created by the Incas. This was on our way to the top of the second pass.

It was up at 6 AM again today anticipating our longest day on the trail - 9 miles. Breafast was hot chocolate, omelettes, banana fritters, and toast. We began our hike on a steep uphill but soon came to our first stop at a set of ruins which consisted of an egg-shaped lookout complex.
