Vancouver, Canada is only a 3 hour flight from LA - ie a 17 hour flight from Sydney - but it reminded me so much of home (just with Melbourne weather). The city looked just like Sydney, but obviously much bigger and much closer to the outdoor activities we would normally have to travel to New Zealand for.
