Above the Golden Horn

Istanbul/Constantinople/Byzantium has been such an important city in history thanks in part to its location on the Bosphorus, the waterway connecting the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara and eventually the Mediterranean. It also has the famous natural port known as the Golden Horn.
