A fellow Australian runs a large part of the 3 resorts Val D'Isere, Courchavel and Tigne. So since he and his family were living in a wonderful chalet alongside a frozen lake in Tigne, this provided an excellent opportunity to visit for the weekend and escape the already-mounting heat of Provence.
