Ihla Grande.. beach paradise? September 26th 2005 Hoping for sun? We should be so lucky!! Arrived in Ihla Grande after a two hour bus journey and about an hour on a little ferry boat. As we approached the island, we hoped that the clouds hanging above the mountain tops would soon disperse. Unfortunately at day break, these materialised into another downpour.

After years of commuting by rail and road, we both decided enough was enough and to take the plunge and plan a Round the World trip. Six months was the limit we set, but who knows if we'll stick to it??
