Strolled through the Botanic Gardens in dull weather. Visited the rather unimpressive Arts Buildings, which was little more than a collection of craft shops. I attended a WW1 exhibition on the sole Kiwi to receive the Victoria Cross in WWI (... Nichols). He was later killed in action.
