Neighboring countries, worlds apart
April 1st 2007 Two weeks ago we crossed the Thai border into Northern Laos. Laos is one of the least visited countries in South East Asia and has only recently opened its doors to tourism. One of the first things we noticed was the people. Compared to Thailand they are much more reserved, with many of the areas even bordering poverty.
