Veuve Clicquot

De eerste paar kilometer liepen we nog tussen de druiven. En dan kom je plotseling zomaar een veldje tegen waar de naam van Veuve Clicquot bij staat. Een wereldberoemd Champagne huis. Het bestaat al sinds 1772 (250 jaar oud) en is een van de grootste. De weduwe Clicquot was erg belangrijk in het maken van champagne tot wat het nu is. The first few kilometers we still walked along the grape fields. And then you just walk into this field which shows the ownership of Veuve Clicquot. Which is a world famous champagne house. It exists since 1772 (250 years) and is one of the largest. The widow Clicqout was very important in making champagne into what it is today.
