The Real Bridge over the River Kwae

Pip and i went and visited the war Memorial and the famous Bridge over the river Kwae. It was a very sad moment when you realised how many lives were lost during WWII to build the burmese -thai railway. I also found memorial plaques from my Grandad's unit - "the loyals"- i have put these photos on for him to see.-- the memorial is beautifully looked after and i know he would be very happy to ... read more
