The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now… ~ Thai Proverb HE SAID... Today we were travelling north from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Great Review!
Your overnight train journey sounded like such an interesting experience and something I'd love to try in a country such as Thailand. I thought your bunks looked quite comfortable too. Your photos of Thai food almost made me drool it looked so good. I'd definitely like to visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep but that climb of 300 steps sounds daunting but what you see at the top looks like it's so worth the climb! Great photos!

Re: Great Review!
Thanks Sylvia. I highly recommend the Bangkok-Chiang Mai overnight sleeper! We were in second class and it was probably the best service, cleanest train and best toilets of all the overnight sleeper trains we've caught in Asia and Africa. And yes the hot and sweaty 300 step climb is absolutely worth it at Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep :) Thanks for your lovely comment!
