Crossing the edge of Lago Brush

This was supposed to be just across a stream but wind had pushed the lake water up the channel and all I could see were horse tracks disappearing into the water. I had been told there was definitly a Refugio on the otherside otherwise I´d have turned back. It came up to mid thigh!
