It is sad when a loved one passes but it is sadder if their passing is not honoured appropriately. I think of Shannon's sudden passing and Allan's and your grief at that time. But as a lawyer who also does estate work I can see from your words that you ensured your eulogy honoured your sister-in-law and from my experience this is the most treasured gift you can give. Some years ago, I attended the funeral of the wisest woman I have ever met...an Order of Australia recipient that I was honoured to have as a client for about 20 years. At her funeral I felt she was not appropriately honoured and wanted to get up and deliver an unsolicited eulogy that was not on the order of service. One of my lasting regrets is that I did not. My thoughts are with you at this time and am sure Shannon knows her obituaries adequately expressed the love she had brought to all of you.
