On the bottom, you’ll see a spot where a new burial chamber is being carved into the cliff. Machinery is not allowed; it has to be carved manually with the aid of tools - you can see strike marks in the rock. In keeping with the ritual of separating the dead from the living, the carver cannot wear his carving clothes back home. As carving in a specialized skill, at some places a saw little huts next to partially carved caves. The carvers are housed in these huts while they work on the rock.
