Beautiful architecture
I love this remnant of Spanish design in most Mexican cities we visited...a square at the heart of the city surrounded by buildings of power – the church and the government. We always found ourselves gravitating towards it. Were the tunnels of Aztec vintage? Cholula is another highlight we missed out on our brief visit to Puebla. You're making our return visit wish list longer with each blog! :)

Tunnels in Cholula
When you write "tunnels of Aztec vintage" you refer to the 500 year old tunnels in central Puebla, right? Not the tunnels through Cholula? The Puebla tunnels are probably of later date than what you would think of when you refer to the Aztecs. They were probably built/dug in the early days of the colonial city Puebla. Therefore it is better to say they were built by the Spanish than by the Aztecs. Though, the workforce was probably locals so perhaps it is better to say that it was built by Mexicans? /Ake
