Day 27: 29th. May:
Richards Bay: Coming in to the bay was beautiful with very calm water and reflection of ships at the dock was just lovely. We had booked a safari at Thula Thula so we were excited. The Zulu name Thula Thula literally means peace and tranquility and it felt like that when we arrived there after a short drive from the ship. We transferred into one of the safari vehicles and we were off on rough tracks so holding onto the rail was necessary as we bumped our way past bush through which we spotted some of the animals and birds. We saw giraffe, giselle, the rhinos and then came across the elephant - see the video -[
] - the link is to our encounter which was a little daunting to start with as these large wonderful animals can be a little unpredictive. What a wonderful experience and certainly the

Arriving into Richards Bay - the still water and reflections moment of the trip.
Day 28: at sea: the weather was turning bad; there was a major low coming through which put us at risk so the Captain made the decision to go to port Elizabeth instead of Cape town as the ship, crew and passengers welfare was foremost. We hugged the coast and did not feel the storm as it came.
: The windy city. We did a city tour to see the sites then wandered along the pier before being blown off and then into the Boardwalk centre only most of the shops were closed but managed to get some oementos to take home to the family. Plenty of photo spots.
