09/27/2009 - Cruising St. George’s Channel, North Sea and North Atlantic Ocean

Up around 9 a.m. We were in the North Atlantic and the seas were pretty rough - lots of rocking & rolling. Roxie not feeling well again so she took some Dramamine and rested. I went to breakfast with Judy & Diana and then took my computer to the Explorer Lounge and worked on my logs. As we move closer to land, the seas seem to be calming down. We’re all at the art auction now which should start in a few minutes. Nothing for me today. The frozen marguerites are wonderful so I just ordered one as we wait for the auction to begin. If you’re interested in buying art, the place to do it is on the ships at sea. They have all the known and unknown artists and the prices are typically ½ of the land gallery prices and include framing, if displayed with a frame.
