Queen Mary 2 Cruise
Sat 29th August we boarded the QM2 in Southampton with our backpacks with clothes for summer, winter and of course ballroom attire!
After having high expectations of the cruise we were not disappointed. During the day we attended art lectures, headed to the on board planetarium, partaking in RADA workshops and watching there Romeo and Juliet production, jogging round the running track , gyming, swimming or practicing for our starring role singing in the National Symphony Orchestra choir. Note - Jo has musical talent, I do not! Therefore Jo also entered the talent competition which surprisingly had no judges.
The hardest choice to make was were to eat every night as we were spoilt for choice with the amount of restaranuts on board, both of us agreed that we had the best beef and lamb that we have ever tasted. We both wished that we could store the food away and feed ourselves through the next 3 months of rice and beans.
The on board entertainment was first class, from the on board dancers and signers to the Symphony orchestra. We managed to pack clothes for the
Ascot night and black and white ball...The majority of these clothes are now with the home less in New York.
And to start our backpacking budget of in true style Jo spontaneously brought a painting at the on board art auction.

WHAT ENTERTAINMENT CAN I EXPECT ON THE MED. CRUISE LEAVING S'H'N 19 SEPTEMBER 2010.
I am booked in a single, inside cabin - D4/6155. Now, I intend to enjoy myself on this cruise! Can I join in everything? Can I go everywhere? Or, due to my lowly accommodation status will I find that I am curtailed in any respect? I would appreciate it if you could let me have some idea of the entertainment/s one can expect to enjoy on this cruise. I look forward to your response. J Slade-Baker (Miss)
