We caught the bus into the city centre in the morning and as our bus ticket was valid for 2 hrs on all public transport, we got the boat down the river which dropped us off at the riverside.
Walking beside the river and up to botanic gardens allowed us to see what brisbane was like-a lot quieter than Sydney and maybe not as much to do but the people seemed friendlier! Going to the national
Museum of modern art was a nice way to spend a hour and was a free activity! Had to get back early though as Tanya (girl I previously met travelling in Vietnam in 2010) offered to take us to the eat markets for some food! (Markets which only run at the weekend) Was a great setup with about 50 different stalls to choose from for food and drinks!thankfully she drove us there so we didn't have to negotiate the traffic! Spent a few hours there and Ryan sampled some Peruvian curry-delicious!
