Edit Blog Post
Long time no entry ....Perth and around.
I apologise for not updating this bloody blog!! Been busy and a bit lazy I must say.
I am probably going to write a few entries about the few places I have been in WA.
First let me tell you about what I have been up to for the last few months here in Perth.
I am still working in a backpackers full time even more than full at the moment been working hard and a lot but at least I can save money for my road trip.
I am now living in a nice flat in West Perth, not far from the Ocean been living there after more than 5 months living in a backpackers. I cant believe I lived in a backpackers for that long; sharing the dorm with different people everyday and the kitchen with 100 people.I must say making crepes in front of people who never see that before was a weird experience they keep looking at me cooking especially when these crepes looked purple (food coloring rocks!!!). I had a go at a few meals with more than pasta and meat mince and I must say
it was pretty good, maybe I will be a good cook one day who knows!!! But at the moment I have been so busy with the job that I still havent unpacked and I have been living in the flat for 3 weeks now!!
The best thing about living in a backpackers was the friends I have made, friends from everywhere Uk, Japan, Sweden, Finland, Canada... cant wait to see all of them in 2012. We are planning a bit meeting in France during that.year. Partying and drinking games were great too, not for my liver of course but I can play drinking Uno once back in uk and it's a lot of fun and makes you new friends too as u invite anybody playing wth u!! I would recommend this a to a friend.
Though I enjoyed living in backpackers most of the time there are a few things which annoyed me like no privacy and living and working in the same backpackers too especially when some guestsdont care whether I'm off or not and annoy me when I am cooking or just relaxing with my friends...
I am sharing my flat with a married couple and though
I am never home it's very great to know at the end of your shift you can go home and have some privacy and be yourself.
I am planning to stay in Perth until the 1st or 2nd of February, I am really enjoying myself here and I have got great friends, the job is tiring sometimes especially wtih some people but the atmospheris great and the long termers are great.
So after february I am planning to do a road trip for 3 months; buy my own van and go to Tasmania then Darwin then back to Perth. And I will drive!! God protect the passengers lol. I am taking a few driving lessons with my friend Henry who has a 4x4 called Daisy. Just love this car and we talk about Daisy as if she was a person lol!!
And after these 3 months on the road I may stay in Perth for another 3 months working at the backpackers again and then not sure maybe Queensland, maybe Asia or maybe a stop in New Zealand before heading back to Europe next November.
Weather is alright here it's not as hot as last year but
.
. nights are warm so we plan having barbecues every week.
First Entry will be about my first week end outside Perth and that was back in August ( time flies ey!). I was with Henry; Martin and Alex and as I had my week end off we decided to go outside Perth and discover!!!
So we left on Saturday morning and we decided to go to the Pinnacles. Pinnacles are basically a big desert with big rocks, sounds stupid but it's true though I mean the pix on the brochure look much better to be honest with u!! We went to Cervantes 2 hour drive North from Perth had a lie on the beach then went to Pinnacles on the way we saw some kangooroos they were very close and cute. Then the Pinnacles we only took a few pix and we were gone after 30 minutes!! The best bit was 'hangover bay' and the kangooroos. Then we decided to camp by the beach and we drove 45mins on a 4x4 track with the crappiest car ever, kept bumping against the ceiling lol. At the time we didnt have Daisy but it was fun. Then we had a camp
.
. fire and we keep drinking and talking for the whole night. We came back in Perth late afternoon and went to the Shed at the Sunday Sessions, Shed is the place where I am going to every Sunday, Sunday sessions $4.00 a pint yay!!!
Sorry again for not updating the blog, I am going to add an entry within the next few days about 3 great week ends with my group of friends.
Hope u are well.
XxX
